The Auditorium is Artworks Theatre’s largest indoor venue and one of Waiheke’s most versatile spaces for live performance and events. Full of character and creative possibility, it offers a distinctive setting that feels intimate, adaptable, and full of potential.

With capacity for up to 115 seated guests or 250 standing, the Auditorium can be configured to suit a wide range of formats and audience experiences. Movable risers allow the space to shift beyond a traditional end-stage layout, enabling traverse staging, in-the-round performance, cabaret-style seating, and other contemporary configurations that bring audiences and performers closer together.

Equipped with stage lighting infrastructure, the venue supports professional and community productions alike and can be transformed to suit the atmosphere and technical needs of each event. A dedicated greenroom directly adjacent to the stage provides a convenient backstage space for performers, speakers, artists, and production teams.
