LEVEL 2 POP UP ENTERTAINMENT will consist of live music, short plays, comedy, films and much more from Waiheke and Auckland!
The space will be set up with socially spread out cabaret tables, candles and table service. People will also have the opportunity to pre-order drinks and food online with their ticket.
Only 50 tickets will be available per show but we will be offering two shows in one night (where possible) to allow more people to see the shows. If you would like to reserve yourself a ticket to any of the events mentioned below please email: [email protected]
Two small bands are in the plan for an evening of Pop Up music, featuring Cinematic Radio and the duo Friends of the Street. Cinematic Radio is an incidental world-beat jazzy quartet stemming out of the bigger, crazier latin ska band Radio Rebelde. Yet quite in contrast with the wild energy of the Rebeldes, Cinematic Radio explores suave, dreamy, jazzy, soul and latin-infused experimental musical textures or ‘soundtracks’. The date for the evening of music will be announced ASAP.Friends of the Street consist of the extremely talented Lily Atu and Jono Benzur who play soulful tunes with incredible vocals.
Three short plays are in preparation as part of the Level 2 Pop up Entertainment series. Local directors Renee Casserly, Shirin Brown and Kashmir Postel are using their down time to do what they love… DIRECT THEATRE. All of the plays were written by NZ playwrights and vary widely in their genres. Level 2 dependent, the plays are due to be performed on Friday 5th and Saturday 6th November.
In partnership with Waiheke Holmes, we are planning a halloween themed film night with dress ups and all! Saturday 30th October is the proposed date for a spooky night out, level 2 style. Keep an eye on our website for further details.
